I need a Christmas train with a specific footprint, six or seven wagons, a cashier booth, full barriers and rain protection. What exactly should be quoted?
Quote the operating system, not only the locomotive and wagons.
For a temporary Christmas project, the complete operating package matters: track geometry, train capacity, station and ticketing, barriers, roof or rain protection, electrical requirements, installation method and packing should be defined together.

Start with the available footprint
The track layout is constrained by the customer site. A compact rectangular footprint, longer oval or custom layout changes rail length, turning radius, station position and visitor flow.
Define passenger capacity
Wagon count and seats per wagon should be stated clearly. Capacity affects hourly throughput, queue length and whether the train is suitable as a main attraction or supporting family ride.
Include the operating area
Temporary-event buyers often need more than the train: ticket booth, station canopy, decorative fencing, entrance and exit organization, and rain protection can be part of the practical package.
Confirm packing before shipping
Track sections, locomotive, wagons, booth, barriers and decorations should all be reflected in the packing list so container quantity and installation planning are realistic.
